Espace Maison & Jardin became actively involved in social work in 2007.

Upgrading the flooring at the Paille-en-Queue nursery in Tamarin.

Expanding the cultural work of the Pellegrin community centre and supporting extra-curricular initiatives to improve the educational performance of youngsters from Tamarin.

Improving the appearance of the primary school in Cottage, discovery sessions on plants for children using the plants stocked in the Forbach store, and the renovation of the village hall in Tamarin.
A call for project proposals will be made in July. A committee will study the requests and choose those that meet the criteria determined by Espace Maison & Jardin.
Projects should fall within one or more of the following sectors:
- Education and Training
- Culture
- Promoting and improving the Environment
- Material support for the renovation of buildings used by those most in need
- Support to the economy locally, by offering sales space in Espace Maison et Jardin stores for some products made by SMEs located close to one of the stores.
The following are not eligible for consideration:
- Projects directly linked to the promotion of a specific religion
- Projects in the Health sector
- Projects that will only benefit one family.
