To improve the availability of products for the home, the United Basalt Products Ltd (UBP)Group set up the first superstore dedicated to DIY and home furbishing in Mauritius, when Espace Maison by Marbella opened its doors in the Trianon Shopping Park on 13 November.
With Mauritians’ growing interest in gardening, Espace Maison created an area just for gardens: Espace Jardin. Espace Maison by Marbella thus became Espace Maison & Jardin.
At the same time, UBP bought 100% stake in Compagnie de Gros Cailloux Ltée, situated at Petite Rivière. This company’s main activities are sugarcane growing and a nursery on a total land area of 435 hectares (1,075 acres).
Espace Maison & Jardin joined the Club Les Briconautes et Les Jardinautes , an experienced, French central purchasing agency. This link gives us invaluable support, both logistically and in terms of staff training.
It is a partnership that ensures a large range of products are available, with something suitable for all pockets.
On 10 June, the company opened a warehouse with a storage capacity of 3900m³ in Roche Bois, where a 22-strong team regularly receives consignments for us from abroad.
Espace Maison & Jardin expanded , opening two new stores in Forbach and Tamarin on 1 December, giving Espace Maison & Jardin island-wide coverage.
Something new with the launch of Espace Maison & Jardin’s loyalty card,its V.I.B (Very Important Bricoleur) card, which means we can give a more personal follow-up service to our regular customers.
